I'm building a PC for a friend and promised him windows wouldn't be a problem.

I got windows 10 from the upgrade method from and old pre activated KMSpico windows 8.

If someone could give me info on the best iso/activator method it would be much appreciated.

If you've established a HWID by upgrading from 8.1 kms activated, why asking for an activator?

If you have a HWID, then the iso to use will be the MSDN Multiple Editions iso.

I have windows 10 on my PC. Are you saying I can create an iso from my version to and put it on a USB for him?

Would the KMS VL ALL work with the anniversary edition on these forums. Sorry I can't post links to make this easier.

Yes. But do take note of Enthousiast post above first.

Would this be better than using the anniversary edition with the KMS VL ALL

Not really. How would I go about creating an iso from my windows then. I have the old disc I used. Are you still able to upgrade to 10 though?

    Sorry for all the questions.

The link to the MSDN iso's is a few posts up ;)

And yes, using the iso you can still upgrade from an activated win 7 SP1 or 8.1 and you still get a free HWID.

OK, I have now found out he had a legit copy installed on his old pc when he bought it.

I know I could teansfer this to his new ssd.

Is there anyway I could do a fresh install from this?

Is it an OEM system with win 8.x/10 pre-installed and activated by a the oem:Dm key? Then there is no need to do anything, it should activate by itself.

But you've build a new system for him, you said:

I would just establish a HWID by installing 7 SP1 Ultimate (BIOS/MBR) and activate by daz loader and upgrade to 10 Pro.

Sorry about how messy this is getting. I appreciate the help.

So he has his old pc which had retail windows 7or8 not sure. He has upgraded to 10 now.

I am building his new pc tomorrow. Should I try and transfer his legit windows. I think I can transfer the license. I'm just not sure how to go about installing it on the new pc. Can I create an iso from his pc?

Or should I just do as you said in the last post. Where is best to get the windows 7 and the daz loader?

    Again thanks for the help.

You could try to link his old HWID to his MSA and transfer it to the new system.

I would just re-establish a HWID as i said before,

All this terminology goes way over my head. I'm used to simple pre cracked windows lol.
