Asking because KB5008353 (from back in January) that's supposed to have fixed poor File Explorer performance isn't listed in the Update History, and I've checked for updates multiple times on this fresh Windows 11 install (~2 days old, 22000.593). Some updates are listed though which makes me wonder if Microsoft have started withholding a chunk of them from machines with unsupported hardware (I'm on a Skylake CPU). All the listed updates:
@kompassorpigo If you have 21H2 (10.0.22000.593) (from March 28, 2022) and you did not receive any installation error messages, you have everything you need installed. The fact that you do not see a separate version of KB may be due to a later update or removal. Many users have had problems with the KB you mentioned, and it's likely that something was done about it, but what exactly, I don't know, because I gave up using this crap about half a year ago. PS. For some reason, I can't view the pictures you've added right now - they just won't open, and they are just in the size of a larger fly.
KB5008353 is build 22000.469, and you have 22000.593, the very latest preview build! It should be obvious that a newer build includes and supersedes the old one - you can't really skip updates in windows anymore. Your issue with explorer will likely not be truly fixed until the next release, 11 22H2. Stop getting your hopes up every time it's announced "fixed" on DEV. It goes back to "broken" the next build.
The updates are called Cumulative, meaning they contain the accumulated fixes from all previous ones. The MCT offers 22000.318, when connected during OOBE it will download and install the latest publicly available SSU/LCU available at the time of installation. 22000.593 is the latest Preview on catalog/optional on public WU (non security/quality only) LCU (not dev channel).

@Enthousiast, that's on clean install and upgrade without dynamic update, but by default dynamic update is on so it gets you .556 atm
Haven't tested recently 11 MCT media clean install from boot, with network. Indeed, it used to do it during OOBE, I've seen it. But upgrade under windows, connected, from MCT media, with Dynamic Update enabled (by default) - will definitely give you latest LCU. * Unless TPM bypass used hinders Dynamic Update (talked many times that <INSTALLATIONTYPE>Server can do that).
Honestly I think I might have. Googling "Optional Preview Update" yields distinctly familiar images. It just showed up! My OCD ass just couldn't resist.
The update itself wasn't the issue. It was supposed to fix (or lessen) some of the Explorer issues. As Enthousiast and Bau said, I probably have it, it's just a part of the build now, hence why it's not listed. FWIW this one I do have in my update history.
[QUOTE="kompassorpigo, FWIW this one I do have in my update history.[/QUOTE] yip; sorry not sure why? >> maybe cause one of my installs= Win11 ENTERPRISE......:shrugs:<note> em a very new NEW "windows OS" user-still trying to learn how to do tip/tricks.. etc. Mostly a newly 'retired structural engineer' doing things to a few of our EX-work used 'workstations' that were sitting for years in 'storage/replaced with newer models' - Now am finding out - its a BIG PITY, as most of them ARE VERY "CAPABLE" of doing those same TASKS as their newer ones - as most of them are the older Xenon Processors etc.... FYI- I also checked on couple of other "PCs" -:head scratches: also noticed one of them didn't have that ("KB5012592) Also noticed >> Updates have a few WINDOWS 10 items << so am guessing they were there BEFORE the Win11 "upgrade" <<maybe it because I ran the UPGRADE from win8.1 to win10>>than did an update to win11 Pro for workstation, than upgraded to win11 Enterprise.....
