Bored would be a better term. The thing is I don't even care about the final code unless it's an OEM or Retail ISO anyway. I'm sure they will leak too but I'm not sure they will be the first to do so.
Well, this could be true for both cases: 1. If 10176 was RTM, the next build from it would have to be at least 16 nos. higher. 2. If 10176 was not RTM, the next candidate would have to be a multiple of 16. LOL. Nah, it's not about the number, it's about "if Win10 has been signed off or not".
Here's a question that I'm not sure anybody can answer and there is probably 100 other threads I could ask it in but I will ask it here anyway because it's about RTM. "They" (MS) say to get the free upgrade you have to first upgrade and then you can download the ISO to do a clean install. What happens if you take the OEM ISO and do a clean install on a completely legitimate PC without doing an upgrade first? Will it not be activated even though it passes the test of being a windows 8 machine or will it stop you dead from even installing it and I don't know how it can do that if it is OEM..interesting questions.
My opinion about the final release: Build of Windows 7 RTM: 7600 Build of Windows 8 RTM: 8200 Build ofdo Windows 8.1 RTM: 9600 Build of Windows 10 RTM: 10200 maybe
If someone had created a betting website about the version of the RTM, he would have been the richest guy after Bill Gates
I couldn't really understand your question, but I guess you mean using a win10 OEM ISO and try to install on a legit win8/8.1 OEM machine without first running upgrade in that machine. I am not sure, but guess it couldn't be done, because even if the OEM;DM key could pass as a win10 OEM;DM key, but it need to be recorded, along with HWID in MS activation server, and this process of recording key+HWID could only be done by upgrading the OS in that machine with GWX.
Yes, you understood the question correctly..I think you are right but I am looking forward to trying it anyway. I don't see why they can't record the key and config after a clean install just like they do after an upgrade, activation wouldn't take place until after they did anyway.
hello, yeah maybe you right, I don't the the guy, or his reputation. I'm sure if he was banned everywhere, it's of course a troll. I just found this on Winbeta.org: _winbeta.org/news/windows-10-rtm-candidate-build-10176-has-been-compiled-sign-imminent. So I don't know, I think we should know in a few days now....
Good luck. Btw, you could have a look in Yen's thread about OA3.0 in win8 forums, it's about the same thing.
