KMS and MAK are volume licensed. Volume licensing is not allowed for the upgrade offer.

I believe one thing is clear - at this point, nobody has any credible/reliable information about what is happening with regards to the sign-off process. All the theorizing and posting of "sign-off schedules" is just that - guessing. I've been through many of these processes now - naively, I woke up this morning like a kid on Christmas thinking today was the day we'd have Windows 10 RTM sign-off news. Seemingly, I'll never learn :p

You are fine. MS will sure give their OEM partners enough time to load Windows 10 for the back-to-school shopping, even Windows 10 is not really ready in time. They'll label it as "ready" no matter what, and ship it out.

I agree and it's impossible to know if this has always been the schedule or if bugs in the RCs are delaying the process.

At least MS is keeping us at the edge of our seats. OEMs & partners too, for that matter.

How log is enough time? Dell says they will be shipping a lot of laptops and desktops with w10 on the 29th? How long will it take them to test all the different drivers against w10 in all those different machines and how long before that will they need to get the code to start that process? That would be the deadline MS is facing I would think.

I would think the OEMs need at least two weeks to get their machines ready. So the Golden RTM have to be available before July 15. Just my 2 cents worth.

Most likely people will have to do what everybody else is doing or have something like Windows 10 starter on systems ..?
