Learn some reading comprehension. It isn't just citing The Verge. Brad is saying that his source(s) are saying it has also signed off. Maybe before you shoot off and flame someone try READING the article first. Here: To make it ABUNDANTLY clear Now if you don't trust Brad Sams OR Tom Warren, both of whom are reputable tech journalists, that's YOUR problem, not mine. Are you not familiar with the concept of anonymous sources in journalism?
I suggest some of your own. Hearing that RTM is 10240 and is signed off means nothing. it simply means that someone, somewhere, has said it.
When the actual build comes out officially, can this thread be closed? Especially if it's build 10240? Thread would officially be useless at that point. Many people, except the OP, guessed 10240 a few months ago (don't believe me? Just look) and he stuck with 10400 or higher until only recently when a lot more people were posting that it could be 10240. People were saying it was going to be 10240 before this thread even existed. It's on Neowin where someone going by the handle "vipanonymous" guessed 10240 on May 31st. This OP, nowhere close.
Lets just close every thread, because in every thread someone says its useless and should be closed right?
their some much speculation around that win 10 as been sign off & release to manufacturing & may leak soon this seems unlikely as the partners that have access to this are unlikely to leak it I`m sure they will be far busy testing the new os system on their latest hardware ready to pre-install & release on their new system Ps Is there yet a RTM for tablet say Surface
Historically, the RTM was always leaked by an employee of one of the OEMs who received the build. Going back to at least Windows XP, but probably 2000 and further as well. RTM lacks any unique identifiers that would identify a specific OEM, so there is less of a deterrent and there are a lot more people with access to the bits and thus it makes it extremely likely for a leak.
haha ... unfortunately most of the OEM employees have other work to do rather go after their own biz instead of leaking builds to MDL
Since OEM is the only thing I want anyway it would be nice if that is what leaks first. The rest can wait until after my pcs get upgraded. Of course new pc oem windows 10 may be very different from upgrade windows 10, onbe more question we wait to answer.
