Antivirus for W8CD?

    Kasperky 2013 beta and Norton 2012 work fine. Bitedefender 2012 doesn´t work.

    Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 will murder x64. You have been warned;). Still, at least I got to see the new BSOD!

    Sad, you folks are installing 3 party AV's instead of doing a true test of the built in MSE AV. I been on both the WDPand WCP, and havent caught a single virus yet with MSE. System is online 24/7 :mauridia: Just funny is all....

    During installation of Kaspersky, don´t reboot: install at the end.

    Is it still not clear that MSE = Windows Defender on W8 which is Installed by default, so intalling MSE on W8 is the most pointless thing you could do, you are replacing the identical software, they are just renamed but use the same Signatures and core. :rolleyes:

    false i use MSE 4.0 which is newer than Defender in win 8 ;)

    i don't reboot, the installation of Kaspersky finish, but not install the antivírus :confused:

    In my assessment Kaspersky is the most extraordinary antivirus for any computer, for the reason that it has additional features than other antivirus.

    Could not get Kaspersky to install, CP seemed to refresh itself on reboot and kicked it all out. Ended up putting in Avast which has W8 compatibility and settings in it, works fine.

    After installing KIS 2013 my system became very unstable. I had to install NIS 2012. Working fine.

    When I started this post, i tried to install Eset, but doesn´t work. Well, Norton IS 2012, avast 7 and Kaspersky 2013 Beta work.

    Even after disabling windows defender, I still couldn't install any ati drivers. :mad:

    Until now, it seems:
    Norton IS works well (is installed now in my pc)
    Avast 7-ok
    Kaspersky 2013-slow, slow...

    After some tests, kaspersky IS 2013 is very slow. AVG IS seems good.
