If you are using miniKMS with it installed as a service then it will auto activate every 7 days. If you are using the manual method then you need to run the KMS emulator once in 180 days to activate.
Dude KMS is simple activator. Install volume edition of office 2010 then with few clicks of KMS it is done . Try it out.
No, i'll pass. I will be waiting for a final & solid activator, where there will be no need to repeat the same process again in 180 days. I do not need another service running in the background. I want a clean, nice, simple and well built activator.
As I said before, according to the rule of Microsoft, all volume products after Windows XP/Server 2003 and Office 2007 activated via KMS method have to renew their activation after 180 days from the first activation. But for MSDN/Retail/OEM:SLP method of activations, this rule is not applicable and the products activated via those methods are forever activated. So, if you want a permanent activator of volume product, you should try to make or request someone to make a RemoveOAT [Removes Office Activation Technology] And about the service running background, it can also be done manually without the running service [which I always prefer]......
Seriously, 180 days is half a year. And it doesnt use any cracks and frankenbuilds. Yes a retail activation would be permanent, but it would have to be an oem or keygen method. I would not use some half built crack that screws up files even if I get permanent activation.
Both KMS activators (mini-KMS and Tuvi) work fine for now. No need to install it as a service. If someone has a problem in considering 180 days to be uncertain and short, then they can (a) buy a retail version (b) wait for retail hack. As for me, wasting 5-10 mins every 180 days is nothing at all. People are assuming that perhaps retail hack will be better and permanent, whereas KMS is not. It could be or it could be not. Bottomline is that KMS is a very good alternative to retail hack. I am sticking with it. If people think they will forget the reactivation, they can do it earlier when they remember and as many time as they like, or as said, buy a retail version. One should live with the fact that there are no perpetual guarantees with the present KMS or the (future) retail hack or as many have noted here and elsewehere, even with a legitimate product key.
I completely agree with Acyuta because even if a hack is created it doesn't mean its going to be fool proof any person who thinks other wise is just ignorant since MS is constantly. As for news regarding up coming stuff I have none which I wish to reveal at this time since I will undeniably be more cautious with stuff I hand out since it has to be beta tested before hand. However I'll let you guys know if anything happens a couple days after cause I want it to be stable and not like the last thing I came up which didn't work that well.... Other than that, thats all I have to say at this time...
OK, let say I decide to use the KMS activator (or tuvi's method) on the Microsoft office 2010 professional plus version (and use the manual way of activating). Now..i wanna ask something: 1. Which activator will be better to use? KMS or Tuvi's? 2. If i want to uninstall this version of office (Microsoft office 2010 professional plus - volume)..will there be a problem? I mean with the activation applied and everything? Or will the uninstaller go smooth? 3. If i decide to install the retail version (after i have previously uninstalled the Microsoft office 2010 professional plus - volume) will there be a problem (having in mind that i have previously activated volume license with a hack) I know i am a pain in the a** but i do not want to cause problems on my notebook. Thanks.
1. Doesn't really matter which activator u use they all do the same thing in a nut shell which is use ZWT's key gen to activate office to a 180 grace period.... 2. There will be no problems if you wish to uninstall office 2010 and it will uninstall smoothly... 3. The KMS hack I don't think works with the retail edition (yet) without modding a few files here and there... So that should just about cover all the bases I think...
Can use either. Tuvi's method works, is supposed to be from here and more trusted, but can take some time to activate. Mini-KMS also 100%, but can take 1-10 attempts. Why do you not create a system image prior to installing office 2010 if you wish to change. Alternatively, make a system image of installed, unactivated, volume office 2010.
Since Office 2010 doesn't do OEM:SLP there really won't be a clean and permanent way of activating ... personally for me I think the mini-KMS emulator is going to be close as we can get. I personally am not a fan of cracks because it might interfere with patches later on... Although it's going to stink when Microsoft gets around blacklisting the mini-KMS emulator. How does that work anyway, is there some kind of "seed" it uses to send the KMS data?
You don't have to wait for 180 days before activating, you can activate whenever you want, and the "clock" starts at 180 days again. Thats the best thing with the KMS activator. But you HAVE to activate at least twice per year with the KMS activation.
That applies to the volume license Office. For toher version other than getting your hands on a MAK Key somewhere the only other way would be someone makes a gen that somehow uses the activate by phone feature and therefore offline activation, but I assume its probably extremely unlikely to do.
