Systembuilder versions come as a simple, flat, sealed cardboard envelope with terms and conditions etc. printed on it. Inside is another flat cardboard holder for the DVD that also has the red COA sticker attached to it. It doesn't look like it's removable, so, at least for System Builder licenses, the sticker does not seem to go onto the PC case. The complete SB license envelope has to be handed over to the end user, anyway. What's new about the COA itself is that the product key is partly covered by a scratch field. You have to scratch it open in order to reveal and use the complete key. Quite clever, as, if you get a license with a readable key, you know it has been opened and used before. The DVD label is gray in color (about the shade of lead). Rim and center part bear the usual holographic images. It still says "64-Bit". The DVD contains the normal 10.0.22000.194 multi-index Consumer Edition (de-DE, it this case). The green/yellow/red COA labels also had scratchfields back in the days already. (see post #13) Also in the "MS for refurbished" sector if I remember right. Is it those blue DVDs ? And no hologrphic Win 11 sticker as Systembuilder ? Any chance to post a photo of it ?
Systembuilder licenses for Windows 10 didn't have a scratch field. I now have Systembuilder licenses of XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11, and only 11 has it. It's entirely possible other COAs already had it before, but, I've personally never seen it. Maybe also a regional thing? The DVD is grey. The Windows 10 one was blue. In the old times, the color depended on the SKU, and grey was usually used for Server OS ((sometimes also red). And no, no sticker, as they cannot know what hardware I'll use the license on. Could be a potato.
HA ! Thank you ! Appreciated ! "100% Brand new and high quality" Hmmmm... "Usually I prefer 100% original Microsoft" ^^ They do look like the original though...
Still only one seller out there. Not many devices with stickers plopping up in europe. Mostly "older" devices, advertised with Windows 11, but Windows 10 stickers.
Its 2023, but only the very same seller on eBay offers selfmade(?) stickers. Are these really so hard ot come by ?
