any way to activate without slic 2.1? or help plz

    No, Windows 7 needs SLIC 2.1 to activate. SLIC 2.0 won't work with 7. However, SLIC 2.1 is backwards compatible with 2.0

    what does that mean and how do i update to slic 2.1 i have read alot of threads here but dont really understand them

    yes i know that but i just want to update to slic 2.1 so i dont have to worry about the loaders not activating my windows or some crap like that :)

    This loader is only some clicks and reboot, less than a minute for doing that, it is worth try before flashing.
    Flash new BIOS is never safe, since the BIOS is modified it is also less safe.

    can anyone help me on how to make a back up of my current bios in case the flash goes wrong and how to restore it? i searched but dont find anything, maybe im not using the right search terms. thanks

    i already made a backup of it, my question was just how do i put it in a flashdrive and go about the restore if the bios goes wrong? like how to create a flash drive that will do the bios restore if i boot from it. and im a noob at this stuff so how do i know if i have Ami, Award or Phoenix bios. thanks a bunch for your help

    how do i know if the bios os phoenix or anything else cuz im pretty sure its phoenix one, i have dell dimension 9200
    and where do i get ther .dos files from? the one on dell website is an exe file that straight up installs bios onto your system
