My system is fully working but I'm concerned about HDD temperature...I'll monitorizing and I'll put the results here. After a hard work I was capable to have Mavericks on laptop...
Uh? I am really out. I don't know anything about hackintosh. But there are so many people tried of it. I am embarrased.
I had a hackintosh on an old P4 for a while after I ditched my G5 tower. It held me over until I upgraded to a Mac Book Pro. It was pretty damn good and nearly as fast as my "superior" multiprocessor G5. That was 2008 I think. Things have gotten better. Go for it.
I am a hackie builder, and boy has the community moved forward. The Clover bootloader is a lifesaver, just what we needed when things are going gigantically.
My RIG worked perfectly on Mavericks 10.9.4 ( cleanly downloaded 10.9.4 inside an older Mavericks VMWare image on Workstation 10, then I created a bootable USB Key using UniBeast for 10.9.4 Installation ) ==================================================== Antec V1 ( With two optional 120mm FANS on top & back panel ) <<<<< I would have loved a K282 cabinet , but did not get it when I searched local market Intel i7-3770K Cooler Master 212X ( Heat Sink with FAN in Push position ) mSATA 64GB ( Plextor 6Gbps ) GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB ( It has Wi-Fi & Bluetooth adapter + 2 antennas ) >>> Only the BT worked, Wi-Fi will never work for this card on OSX. I used a RAILINK USB Wi-fi dongle that worked. Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 2 x 8GB 1866MHz WD 2TB SATA 6Gbps GREEN HDD ATI R9 270X VAPOR-X 2GB DDR5 by SAPPHIRE >>>> We have a new kext for thic Card @ Niresh Corsair 650W ============================================= Benchmark scores: Single-Core ( 3407 ) / Multi-Core ( 13680 ). Main thing is AHIC setting for SAS HDD's on BIOS. But the bad part of using AHIC is we can not utilize "Intel Rapid Storage Technology" inside Windows, as it needs a RAID config for SAS controller & fails miserably on AHIC setting. This glich caused my mSATA totally unusable inside Windows. So, I just ditched my H/W Mavericks Dual Boot partition & went back to RAID in BIOS, reinstalled Windows 8.1 ( unlocked VMWare Workstation 10 inside windows to install Mavericks as a VM ). I even got a legit Apple account to use iTunes & Apple Store inside the VM...all working great. But make no mistake about it, the above config is flawless to run Mac on PC at a much cheaper price point!! This MB GA-Z77X-UD5H is great for running OSX on PC.
