Anyone know how to extract a Dell bios from the ****.exe?? How to modify the ROM?

    that is what i have and flashed with update from dell website bios 2.4.0

    Wow, this thread moves so fast now.

    But it's nice to see a solution for the XPS M1530 (and all the others of course). Thanks for your efforts everyone!

    I wonder if and when Dell would release updates for the models that are eligible for the Windows 7 upgrade.

    ok so we have the XPS M1330 modded and working fine,
    the XPS M1530 modded and working fine

    anyone for the xps M1730 ?

    i don't know, i have a xps M1330,
    maybe we should regroup all modded bios by categories that we are sure they're working.
    the xps laptops
    the studio laptops
    etc
    the xps studios are allready integrating the slic 2.1

    i can make some webpage with all various bios and the way to flash it with the tool to build a bootable usb key and a win98SE bootdisk iso that u have to unpack to make the usb boot disk.

    It would be a wise idea to put all the working dell modded bios into a single place, it's more organised for modders and avoid repeated requests. I think with a proper instruction would be bonus.
