Anyone know how to extract a Dell bios from the ****.exe?? How to modify the ROM?

    Firstly on behalf of everybody may I thank all of you who are giving up a lot of your own time to getting to the bottom of modifying Dell BIOS's.

    I am particularly interested in anybody who is hoping to or working on modifying Dell Latitude D820 BIOS to include SLIC 2.1

    Can I ask those of you in the know whether the A09 BIOS for the D820 is only applicable to that machine or are there other Dell machines which use the same A09 BIOS?

    I ask this because I have seen lots of BIOS's called A09 for different machines.

    Yes, you may see a warning that the bios is already that version, but it will still flash

    Dell numbers all their bios Axx, so do not rely on just the A09, but I believe only the one model of PC is model D820, so if you find a Dell D820 A09 bios, go for it. It won't flash if the model is incorrect

    too many shakeyplace, Dell is not even bundle Win7 with its latest XPS Studio system yet :(
