Anyone know how to extract a Dell bios from the ****.exe?? How to modify the ROM?

    both should work, you don't need to type the .exe either... just MP061A09 /readgzfile and MP061A09 -readgzfile work too...

    So would that be "DXP061-020503.exe /readgzfile" or ""DXP061-020503.exe /writegzfile"?

    Shakey quick question on the m1710 modded bios which is the best way to flash it?

    dos boot from usb using command line ?

    if so is this the proper command? - M1710SLIC.exe /writegzfile or is it M1710SLIC.exe -writegzfile


    or can it be flashed within windows?

    That is a windows based flash tool, just run the file..

    Tried it again in DOS and still no go. Tried it with and without the exe portion.

    Yea its an old system it doesnt have SLIC 2.0 as it originally came with XP got got it in 2004 i think.

    so not possible to add SLIC in the bios at all ?
