Direct from MS or w/e I've been searching everywhere, I can find x64 but I need x86. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Oh really? That explains why it's so hard to find LOL. Guess I'll have to go with just 2008 and not R2. I wish I could just go 64-bit but it's for a leased server, and most lease companies are in the stone age, you have to pay at least a couple hundred bucks for something semi modern. Need to colocate one day...
It's just a marketing decision at Microsoft really. Windows 7 is available in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors, while Windows Server 2008 R2 is available for x64 and Itanium. The same code is used to build all of them, so the decision to not provide a Windows 7 for Itanium or a 32-bit Server has to be the marketing folks telling the developers which compile flags they are allowed to use. Shame, I have a couple 32-bit boxes I would love to run 2008 R2 on.
