Has anyone Modded the BIOS on their Acer Revo 3610? This is the Machine: h**p://support.acer.com/acerpanam/desktop/2009/acer/aspire/AspireR3610/AspireR3610sp2.shtml The version I purchased came with a version of Linux, but they did have ones with Windows 7 bundled. I have never modded a BIOS before so was hoping this has already been done Thanks in Advance
There is/was a tread somewhere on the forum, from a couple of years back covering Vista on the Revo 3600. The basic conclution was to use the Acer BIOS for Vista. Which was latter moded for Windows 7. If theres a Revo 3610 with Windows 7, I'd say the Windows BIOS would work just as well on the Linuix Revos.
Ok so I have the latest BIOS downloaded (the one not designed for linux) What tools guide should I use? I have flashed updated BIOS files but never modded myself. I take it because I am on Windows 7 I need slic 2.1?
Thank You for your help so far BUT I think I am missing something big. Flashed and Setup new BIOS (no problems at all) What is next in the process? I have Windows 7 Ultimate Installed (fresh install) currently running in trial period. Came across this thread: h**p://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/10370-Windows-7-OEM-SLP-Key-Collection Is it something to do with the next step? I actually hate myself right now for asking so many questions
