That's what disabling windows update is for. I disabled everything and then completely disabled windows update and firewalled it as well. Nothing meaningful is being updated anyway just new ways to hide spyware is all.
Hello all, I know this is a little off topic, but I still would like an opinion. I found 3 nice programs that looked promising including this one and can't get myself to choose... So which one would be better from these: 1. Shut Up 10 2. Spybot Anti-Beacon for Windows 10 3. Ashampoo AntiSpy for Windows 10 Thank you for your opinion people...
As they do mostly the same, take program #1, choose your personal settings and then take a second program to proove the taken settings.
Sorry for my bad english... It would to have for the new version to integrate in my iso please ? Thanks
An excellent all in one program so can't complain I did however notice I used the version from 18th Septmeber, it does work well and the settings stick after a reboot but "app notification disabled" was automatically switching back on seems it has to do with the tiles notification, maybe this is fixed in the newer version. I have installed the newer version and its now shown more in the red to indicate cortana search being re-enabled. Its good for now but maybe in the future this program or another could auto apply the settings or update on its own ? I use peerblock with bad MS ips added to that list with daily updates just in case but O&O shutup seems to be blocking pretty much most of the telemetry or backdoor, only a few get through but peerblock is blocking them.
thanks thorin I am looking at that site and software, its a bit unknown so think ill wait I am happy with peerblock with its daily updates to block home phone or other bad ips for now.
Do I need to perform any additional steps after I blocked everything in Windows 10 Shut Up? Is there anything else to block? Thank you.
You should probably reboot and then run Shut Up again to see if any of your settings changed. Also, you might consider running Spybot's Cut the Line to see what it tells you.
