And my son is still running 1809. I see that 22h2 will now happen with ltsc, which version to choose...?? Thanks.
Just came to say same here. Windows 10 LTSC with RTX 4070 and I get the popup message saying my graphics do not meet the minimum requirements. All the solutions online suggest getting the 22h2 update (which has nothing to do with my graphics card so wth Bethesda). The last time I had to do an OS update for a game was Cyberpunk so this is already a bad omen. And at least for me no I'm not moving to Windows 11 for this piece of garbage. Back to Armored Core it is.
Ok, so after some consideration I think we'll stay away from the briefly considered win11. So, the boy(he's 30yrs old now) has ltsc 1809 currently installed. What is the most logical upgrade path for him to get to 22h2...?? Thanks.
I would like to know this as well. On 1809 LTSC and would like to get to 22H2 (hopefully) without a reinstall. Can you please advise the best way. Thank you.
Yeah not gonna lie I probably made a mistake along the way as well. Been trying to get to 22h2 on a laptop I have as a practice run before my main rig and hit some roadblocks. Upgraded from LTSC 2019 (1809) to Enterprise IoT LTSC (21H2) using an iso from this forum (en-us_windows_10_iot_enterprise_ltsc_2021_x64_dvd_257ad90f.iso) no problem but after that it mostly went downhill. For starters update KB5029244 absolutely refuses to install no matter what I do (I've tried the usual windows update and downloading the update from the catalogue and running it off my desktop) and becomes a bit of a headache to cancel out. I think the update also messed up Windows Defender because its become an absolute CPU hog and I've essentially had to disable it. Plus I'm reading conflicting things online about whether or not Enterprise IoT LTSC can even upgrade to 22h2 or not. Trying to install 22h2 myself certainly isn't working. This is all thankfully on a cheapy laptop I don't mind wiping with a clean install but now I'm uneasy about trying the upgrade on my main rig. Not looking to do a clean install right now, at least not for a Bugthesda game of all things, and the Windows 11 LTSC version isn't out until apparently next year, not that I want Windows 11 either although I have considered dual booting but that's annoying just to play one game (although it seems like Forza Horizon 4, 5, and Diablo 4 also require 22h2 so my hand might be forced eventually). Sorry if I sound demanding to anyone, I've already resigned myself anyway to not playing this game but never hurts to ask for advice right?
Anyone actually done this and confirm it's legit? Can you also link to the ISO as this forum is a maze. Win 10 LTSC ISO 64 bit En/UK please.
I did it on my laptop (it was the US version not UK) and yes, just mounted the ISO and inside it was an exe called setup. It'll let you know if you can upgrade without losing any files or settings so you can back out if you want. Process was a little lengthy but slow and cheapy laptop, probably a lot faster on a gaming capable rig. And that's really all there was to it, no input needed from me after it started updating. If the game does end up running on 21h2 please let us know. I'm currently considering just doing a clean install (need to do that eventually anyway) but it would be nice to worry about that another day and just play the game now.
I was going to try, but can't bypass the product key prompt for simply updating the OS from the .exe, Couldn't find if there is a way, 2019 LTSC key is not accepted
You can always use the generic key for the target Edition (found in product.ini). Even the gVLK for that Edition might work.
God I wish product keys was the extent of my problems. The short of it here is after finally getting my laptop fully updated thought it was time to finally try updating my desktop. Lo and behold, my OS drive is MBR and I can't do an upgrade without converting to GPT. Alright well Windows now includes a command line tool to convert MBR to GPT so no problem. Nope, validating errors out with a "Cannot find OS partition" and the setuperr file in C:Windows says "Cannot open BCD for boot volume". At this point I f***ing give up, I'm doing a clean install. I'm going to at least give myself less of a headache by just doing all my installs and setup on my laptop and then either cloning the drive or just chucking it into my desktop (my laptop drive is larger than my desktops C: drive anyway so hey more space). This is a god damn stupid amount of work for one game that probably runs like crap anyway given the studios track record.
I quit the game after 4 hours LOL! Just dull as dishwater and too many loading screens when you did anything.
