Hi, when I close my Metro apps (dragging and then closing) in Windows instead of closing and exiting they stay suspended in Task Manager and I have to close them manually from the task manager..Is there a way to get them closed upon exiting the app?
You know that you need to 'throw' apps from the top to the bottom of your screen to close them in Windows 8, right? In Windows 8.1 you'll have to do the same thing, but instead of letting go of the app instantly, keep pressing it against the bottom of your screen until there's a flip animation. Then let go of the mouse button. A few seconds later it'll disappear from Task Manager.
My understanding of their thinking is that it makes it quicker to reopen an app you have closed, as it isn't actually closed.
