Hello all, I was wondering if there is a program out there that does the exact same thing like APUP (scans your PC for updates then download them)? If there is can someone post the link (or if it is not allowed, PM me the link). Thanks, Lunar21
I've used Autopatcher for years but now Google and Firefox report that their site contains malware. Although the site may be infected, APUP isn't infected. This week I blocked all scripts, downloaded APUP and used Autopatched to update a new Windows XP install without problems. I only use APUP for XP because I like the registry tweaks as well as the updates. There is a great alternative to Autopatcher called PortableUpdate. I've checked out the program but I haven't had to use it yet. For Windows 7 & 8 I plan to always use PortableUpdate in the future. Google PortableUpdate and you are there.
