Q: Why does Windows 11 still use 10.0?

 

It still needs sxsexpand to decompress delta compressed files, doesn't it?
Also SxSExtract.vbs doesn't generate pseudo keys, it just parses all possible manifests, resulting in a decrease of speed.
Question:
SxS package structure: Parent mum->child mum->deploment manifest->assembly manifest
Can deployments comtain other deployments?
Can assemblies contain other assemblies?

2. Yes, If you repacked it with precise checksum. Then you can have a fully customized Windows, No. 1.

 

Why bother to repack a package when I can create my own?

I didn't ask you how to create a package.
I asked you whether an sxs assembly can contain another.
Also the sxs folder copying needs a decompressor to decompress deltas like the BCD-template mentioned earlier

Not for all. One rule: had better use the same build. And if one edition's failed, try other edition's.

Tested 10240.16384 unstaged image to pro with dism
Result: BSOD 0xc00021a
Also tested 10537, same problem.
Possible assumption: Old unstaged builds can only be installed via iso boot ,sysprepped and captured.
