All non updated files are 16384 The point is if there are duplicated folders, 16384 AND xxxxx (where xxxxx is a higher number) Resetbase is supposed to take care of them. The good, old, brilliant WinSxSlite (that worked even in vista) followed a different path, replacing old files with hard links with updated ones, the result was the more or less the same in saved space. But given explorer (after 15 years) still is unaware of what an hardlink is counts the harlinks as real files so it gives the wrong size. For explorer 2 hardlinks to a 5GB file are equal to 10GB, while the space taken is 5GB. Winsxslite went futher and its "phase2" was able to replace also the unneded language files with hardlinks to the language file you actually use, recovering a lot of further space. I think something is wrong with your resetbase. My winsxs folder is 6.6GB on AMD64 install. (wim updated with Aboodi's fix, then booted once, then captured, then resetbased offline)
