26100.461 INSTALL ERROR?

 

With "Embedded", 26120.470 CU failed if "online via Windows Update." It's OK if "offline". Official "msu" CU.

Obviously, LTSC 2024 "Embedded" is not ready yet.

 

For Removable Packages, /Disable-Feature, install updates no problem.

 

Through "Windows Update"? It's OK if I installed CU "Offline".

Wait.
Alike .NetFx35, its binaries were removed, but its cat & mum still stayed in System and registry. But .NetFx35 is not "Removable Package".

Q: Are they "restored" by CU?

 

Can you determine what the cause is in Logs?

 

Yes. The error log showed "could not find source BlaBlaBla".

Due to the definition of baseline, after the 26100.1 upgrade, /Cleanup-Image, manifest,cat &mum still stayed in System and registry, WinSxS only deleted a small number of folders containing 26100.1

 

The new update works smoothly as ltsc 26120.470
