i have it, thanks a lot, but there are only 7 files in it in xinso script with french version there are much more files and directories about 10MB size after unpacking
That's what SxSv1 extract from Microsoft-Windows-Server-LanguagePack-Package-amd64-en-us.esd with no errors.
You have succcessfully managed a stable updatable ServerAzureStackHCICor Desktop Experience? Can we see 1.xml?
xinso, can you explain the reason, why LCU for 25938 client do install on en-us and don't for other languages? Inside the MUM file there is <assemblyIdentity name="microsoft-windows-professionaledition" version="10.0.25398.1" processorArchitecture="amd64" language="neutral" I understand why I can install on PRO and why can't on EnterpriseS. But that doesn't explain why en-us works and ru-ru doesn't. Would you give an insight?
xinso, thanks, I see it now. Returning back to Hot Patching and Azure Stack HCI. As I already explained to @winosr25, who was proud to install KB5039329 on Azure Stack HCI and say that he solved Hot Patching,... Hot Patching is a technology that allows some updates to be installed without rebooting. He took Windows11.0-KB5039329.msu from UUPDump: He found that installation checks some registry keys and fails to install. And even provided us script that makes keys in registry, so that update installs. And he says, that he installed HotPatch Now let's dig into KB5039329. Inside we see KB5036908 is LCU 26100.268, Windows11.0-KB5039329-Hotpatch-x64.cab might be that "feature" for AzureStack that as winosr25 promises is HotPatch. Let's look into update.mum: Spoiler Wow, we can install it on any OS (except GN and Starter). And yes, it can be installed on them. But it does require a reboot. And yes, second install of same MSU doesn't require second reboot, as it usually happens. So let me spoil the party and say that as of now there is no known method of HotPatching, There is a way to install packages called "Package_for_HotpatchFix", but we don't know wjat is it, why is it applicable to all OSes, and how to install it without reboots.
Hot patch looks a good thing but is it really need? Not look as problem. I am very close the solve the issue i hope. Again i hope i identified the black screeen after reboot. I am succesfully added azurestackhcl to datacenter wim. Also combined 3 editions succesfully in same wim. There will be azurestackhcl with gui, datacenter and turbine that can upgradable with only key. Working on black screen. If my guess it ok it will be solved. If not i do not have any other idea to solve it.
For now i can give a trick to whom will work on it. All editions i made previously updates with original msu files and boot normal. What i did. Enterpriseg 11/10, Enterprises11/10, Allin1-11 I made this server same way i used before. In here the problem is UserExperience-Desktop-Package, it is not integrated because it is not inside of main edition mums. Main edition specific mums has it if they have gui, core edition does not have it because it does not have gui. The only way is editing and adding UserExperience-Desktop-Package to editionspecific core mum. I tried it but as i see it did not integrated it again. If the packages is integrated manually later it not works. Should work like this Main edition mum->main editionspecific mum->UserExperience-Desktop-Package
