I'm loading XP Pro SP2 onto my friends HP laptop which originally shipped with XP Home SP2. Can I activate with the key from the label on the laptop or do I have to use the key from the XP Pro install? Both keys are legit, I'm just wanting to save the XP Pro key in case I ever need it. The XP Pro is a retail version.
If it is an HP laptop, just use the HP oembios files and the OEMBIOS changer to activate..it will be OEM as original. The COA is not an option IMHO.. See Stickies for both..the key is input automatically..
