Second I didn't say that chepest NVMEs are faster than SATA, I said that NVMEs usually are able to transfer data at 1GB or more unless they are connected to a PCIe 1X slot. cheap dramless nvmes arent able to constantly transfer data at 1gbs you surely havent used any if you dont know that yet. look as i said earlier i have tested several nvmes and theyre all not the same and would surely use Samsung evo 2.5" ssd as c drive over for example nv2 nvme. cheap nvms arent reliable. end of conversation
Clearly my time trying to explain things to people like you who refuse to listen is wasted time. But for one people who refuse there are hundreds of other users who read/understand and take advantage of the shared knowledge. P.S. about reliability (which is yet again another matter) in 15+ years I used undreds of SSD since the early days, when a 16GB one did cost an arm and a leg, I have yet to see a single broken one (except a bricked kingston by a power loss during a FW upgrade). I really wish that cars, appliances, hdds and other tech were "unreliable" like SSD....
Guys, here is the last of my testing results. Clearly backing up the 89GB ('C' OS drive only) vs the 1,497GB ('C' & 'D' drives) was at a lot faster speed, both run on new T9 drives (A15 & A16). Running "Hard Disk Sentential" (portable) afterword's showed both @ 29-30C temps & at 100% health.
and i have used 3x2tb wd hdds for dont even know probably around 15 years and never had issues with them untill replaced for nvmes.
And so? I'm running my Drive Pool h24 on Green WD drives since 2008 and my velociraptor is a refurbished unit with more or less the same age, but in that timeframe I replaced hundreds of broken HDDs on client's and friends Servers, PC and notebooks. In the same time frame I repeat I didn't replace a SINGLE broken (or worn out) SSD. Reliability is made by statistics, not luck.
because of you said earlier I really wish that cars, appliances, hdds and other tech were "unreliable" like SSD.... and fact is that hdds arent less reliable than ssds as to appliances i been using same washing machine since 1998 and drive vauxhall nova since 1982 did on it over mln miles well actually my great grandson is driving it now as I'm just to old with cars and appliances is the same as with hard drives you buy cheap you will need to buy again.
