with all due respect...do you have any links to such issues...i think you might be trying to revive an old issue or confuse BIO's....ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe only had issues with the 1502..all other bios' for this board had no such memory issue that i can recall. I know you haven't been modding long....but please try to be more specific with Motherboards and their related BIOs.

*edited to add* one person i searched had a memory issue with 1404..but that was a bad beta release and I suspect he had hardware issues...i used that bios with 3g's of ram and had no such issue...then ASUS released 1405 Official and thats what I'm using now. some people need to realize that 'clearing' the cosmos is very important when flashing.

ok...fair enough....I can't speak for other boards..but as for the M2N SLI Deluxe...all I can say about the lastest 1604 BIO's is that its a 'beta' and ASUS doesn't have a very good track record with its 'betas'...My board turned out to be revision 1.02 with soldered BIO's..but ASUS sent me a replacement chip for the socketed revision 1.01 which does me no good..but will help anyone out that needs a chip for their socket.

its my opinion that since 1502 had a space issue and was a beta...the 1604 is having memory issues..and is also a beta....but like I said earlier..I had no Memory issues with 1404 like someone else had...memory I use is:

    Super Talent T800UX2GC4 (4-4-3-8)
    Super Talent T800UX1GC4 (4-4-3-8)
    Vista 32 Operating System

Ok, I continue in this thread as I've described my problems in the messages above.

So I decided to give the latest Asus M2A-VM HDMI bios (2101) a try and used cbrom32_115.exe to add the marker & key (the /slpkey & /slpmarker method). Again the same issue as before - only 63MB of usable memory detected upon boot. And so I was forced to downgrade to modded bios 1603 (for which the /slpkey & /slpmarker works).

But my question is, could this be something that Asus has done (forced to do?) on purpose to tackle the easy modding with Cbrom? Or is it just outcome of normal bios development?
