Sorry, I think I was thinking about another sound problem, or on one of the tech threads I'm on. Forgot you had no problems with 8.1.

It's not the OS, as there are people with your version and have no problems, so I think it's the soft or driver. Have you tried an older one 6695 and the newest 7581 ?.

the only ones ive tried are the ones that MS installs when you put win10 on your machine. then the one gigabyte provides for windows 10 for my mobo. then the newest one thats on the realtek FTP, 7581.

So it looks like all the 7 series have the problem for you. If you ever get bored maybe you could see if a 6 series works. There's a chance someone will have found out what's causing it. Keep an eye out on google for your version and win 10.

    • Right click on Sound icon to open Playback devices
    • Choose your current playback device
    • Navigate to Properties and click on Advanced
    • Choose lower or higher bitrate (use 24bit/44100 Hz or 24bit/192000Hz – it depends on the device).
The above steps should fix the issue – I tried it on my computer, and it did indeed fix the issue which is great. If you’re facing the same issue, make sure to follow the above steps to fix it and if you’ve found a better workaround, make sure to share it on the comment section below!
    UPDATE:
If you have an older Realtek and Via Chipset you will have to set 16 bits 44.1khz to have a decent sound.

With everything you've tried, this sounds more and more like a combination of win 10, realtek, shockwave. Keep checking your browsers to make sure shockwave gets updated, if any are released.

Do you have Nvidia graphics, if so go to devise MGR and disable Nvidia HD audio, see if it helps. If there is any other sound listed with Realtek, under Sound & video, disable it.

Thank you! I might have never figured this out otherwise. I saw some truly horrendous Intel ndis.sys 20.x DPC latencies on Windows 10: i.imgur.com/LlW6Mte.png

After downgrading to 19.1, my maximum DPC latency for ndis.sys is 0.28ms instead of 279ms.

Another tip: my USB Audio DAC (Microsoft drivers) was glitching quite frequently; plugging it in directly instead of through a Plugable USB 2.0 10 Port Hub has significantly reduced glitching.

Also, keeping LatencyMon or Device Manager running has caused really short audio pops for me. I suggest closing them for audio testing.

There's no 19 series soft installer for any Intel WLAN.

Can you post a screenshot from devise MGR with this Intel, properties expanded, driver expanded, driver details expanded so we can see all three windows. This can help other people who have the same hardware.

The README in the drivers.hardware-guy.com/drivers/Intel/Network_Connections_Software/Release/19_1_CD.ZIP file above says "Intel(R) Network Connections Software Version 19.1 Release Notes"

Screenshot with the 19.1 drivers (2014-03-14, driver version 12.11.96.1): i.imgur.com/xRymbYa.png

Account too young to embed or link properly, sorry.

No need to say sorry, I see you only have a few posts.

Looked to quickly, it say's if you have wlan, my bad. I have the 218, and have run from 19 to 20.3, well 20.2, as 20.3 has the same driver in the package which is the 12.13.17.5, and haven't had one problem with audio.

You did say that ndis.sys with 20, if you look at your drivers in the 218, there's no such driver.

P.S. You need to install the IME driver, it's flagged, unless you don't care about remote.

P.P.S. Please don't forget to explain to MADLYFE how to read the graph. TY

Hey mad, disable the shockwave flash player in firefox, then try going to say youtube and a video that uses the youtube flash html5, see if the problem is gone with shockwave disabled.

Then try this after you enable it again, You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue and set - """media.mediasource""" toggle to false and test, then try doing """media.mediasource.mp4.enabled """ toggle to false. If this doesn't work toggle back.

this happens with flash, HTML5, all browsers(FF, chrome, edge), and local audio mp3s played in VLC.
