Your first post was only html 5,then you said browser. I read a lot of problems all over so hard to keep track, so basically it's your audio cuts in and out. Don't you love win 8, just kidding.
I know you're on 10 now, that's why I said don't you love 8, get it, if you go back you won't have the problem, I was just joking around, thought you'd laugh.
I'm having the same issue, but only when qbittorrent is running. i get audio drops/glitches in about every operation: potplayer, chrome youtube, games. I have intel 218v NIC . will try 19.1 installer to see if it changes anything. it seems more like a windows 10 bug to me...none of the se things happend when i had windows 8.1. why am I saying this? Previusly I was on a old AMD Phenom x6 1055t build with Asrock 870 EXtreme 3 - had realtek NIC. The problem started after updating to windows 10. Now I have a Intel 4790k and mobo has Intel 218V NIC, did a clean install of windows and the drops are still there. So different system, different NIC, fresh install...nothing changed. The only common factor is windows 10.
Audio issues seem to be fixed for me on build 10525. I still get DPC latency spikes but I no longer seem to get audio stutters occasionally.
i have a GA-Z87X-UD4H*(rev.*1.x) is this what you are looking for? "Intel® LAN with high ESD Protection"
Thanks, should have asked you to put this in your first post. You've said that you have same problem on system without browser, so play something that you get drops but disable your lan hardware in devise mgr, an reboot with it still disabled and try a few sources that had the drops.
I let you know a few posts back. Just run it as Admin, the UI will tell you if you have a problem, it's not complicated, and you don't have to have a huge understanding of latency, it will actually tell you what it finds. Only start it after you have something with sound running, and only leave it running when sound is running. So I would play a file that lasts about 10mins and turn it off before turning off sound, but by then you should see what it finds.
i just had this come through after about a half hour. i haven't noticed a sound drop just yet though.
yeah...even with 19.1 suite sound still drops. even if qbittorrent is not having major activity ( up to a 1MB/s upload regulary) , when it's running the sound problem is there. it's not a qbittorrent issue...same version on windows 7 and 8.1 , no problems.
For music use foobar2000 and use WASAPI exclusive mode output. For video use MPC-BE and switch the audio renderer to "MPC renderer" and have it use exclusive mode. Any other application have it use WASAPI instead of DirectSound, if such an option is available. That has fixed the issue for me for individual applications at least.
Potplayer also has WASAPI. It does seem to improve things a little. the suttering is milder...it went from some kind of screen mini-freeze with "brrr" sound to a mini stutter wich no video stutter at all
It would be helpful if people listed the Audio hardware they have which has problems and drivers/installer they tried.
