So, curious. At the moment I have a 5.1 Audio gear switch box with my 5.1 speakers plugged into it and a simple 2.5mm audio jack line in from the TV's headphone socket.( I'm aware this is stereo) I'ts set up like this so I can have my 360 sound coming through the speakers as well via optical. now, my issue. it seems that the far left speaker is pretty quiet , can I manually control the volume of the speakers? even though, as far as the PC knows, it's outputting in Stereo via HDMI and it's the box which is mixing the sound up to 5.1. This is just until I by a soundcard with an optical out which I imagine should solve my issue.
