    Hey all.

So, this is really annoying and I've been dealing with it for some time.

Tried many different things up to and including reformat and reinstalling win 10.

Oddly, it seems to be intermittent. Some players will work flawlessly for a bit, and then sync will go out.
Is it possible it's related to ltsb...???

    Thanks

    Hi God, thanks for answering....

All drivers always up to date. For player I've used mpc-hc, mpc-be, vlc, potplayer and today I'm giving kmp a whirl.

I may try k-lite though, thanks....

Assuming that is true it really limits it down to 4 possibilities and they range from easy to worse case
    1. You need newer (better) codecs and K-lite will provide those (reboot after installing to apply the effects ;) )
    2. You have something running in the background taking up resources
    3. Your new drivers are the problem and you should downgrade
    4. You are having hardware failure
I use Windows Enterprise LTSB too and can play 4K video on it without any problem. :)

A quick follow-up -- If you eventually come to suspect #4 and I hope you do not; be sure to double check your cables 1st. I once had an all black screen and really thought my video had died, but as it turned out it was as simple and as easy as replacing my video cable (HDMI). Although I have never experienced it, I have been informed that bad cables can cause sync issues too.

I have LTS with MPC-HC for almost a year on my laptop and desktop and never happened.

Is the system BIOS up to date? Also see if your mainboard has HPET (High Precision Event Timer) option in BIOS, try enable/disable testing as it has influence to multimedia timing.

Yes, bios also up to date. Oddly, sync spot on today, using kmp, but I've seen this before. Fresh player seems to solve issue, only to see it unsync a day or two later.

I've never even considered the cables....

    Thanks.

Hopefully, the media codec pack you installed today has resolved the issue. :)

But if not, I really would wonder if you have something running heavy in the background. I assume you have 1 good anti-virus program running (you should only have 1, as more than 1 will cause issues). But ya, if it keeps coming and going at random times, and if it turns out nothing odd is running in the background (no high cpu, gpu, ram, or hd use), then I would assume hardware related (check your cables 1st).

Naturally, as soon as I ask the question, the issue seems to have gone away. I have yet to see a sync issue using kmp.
