Stannieman, I haven't gotten to the decompression of unused features, or anything similar, simply because all I needed was manifest decompression and that seems to have been done by SuperBubble as well. S1 compression also doesn't ring any bells. If you think about it, my tool just needs to delete it, doesn't need to know the exact contents of it. I'll try to follow and chime in when appropriate.
Could someone explain to me how to use this? I just want to extract a single tiny package in CAB form an offline image and I have no idea how. I followed some advice, but it did not help - Is there a basic step-by-step guide or is this only for experts?
Thanks for sharing this. >It also has the neat side-effect that it should weed out anyone not knowledgeable enough to be using it... Sorry, but that's nonsense and just a waste of everyone's time.
Does this tool work on Windows 10, say from 1809 onwards? I'm getting an error saying can't open input file.
it has 2 issues 1 minor but 1 major teh minor issue is that iirc it chokes on really long file paths (>260 chars) easity solved by moving/copying the file tho the big problem tho is that it was written b4 "S1" compresion was invented so it doesn't handle it & a lot of ifles in win10 are compressed with S1
When you IPD a wim file inside PSFX cab file (it's actually LZMS WIM file = ESD) Spoiler Code: >SxSExpand.exe /V edge.wim edgechromium.wim Aunty Mel's Cheap And Nasty SxS File Expander, 2015/06/08 Copyright (C) 2013-2015 Melinda Bellemore. hey there, checked in first post no link to download the ssx expander, would someone be kind and post another link? Majid
