Hi, Cut me a slack would you? I missed your reply lol. Otherwise, no one wants to waste time. Seriously, my windows 7 said 30 days to activate and that is officially activated for 30 days??
Well sorry then. No harm no foul. Well the error code you gave (slui.exe 0x2a0xbba) means that Windows is activated. Im not kidding...run it in a CMD shell and see for yourself...
Yea, that is the correct cert. I think he just has it set to not show known file extensions so he will not see the ".XRM-MS" extension.
Thats what i suspected earlier, but i deleted the post suggesting to check this after seeing that the error code means that Windows is activated...
After completing 6G and I try to insert your Asus certificate, I got the same error OxBBA Slui.exe meaning windows is already activated. How can that be I just deactivated it. @NoJuan999, the first step slmgr -rilc, after I hit enter, there was no confirmation about license removed a window showed up saying license uninstalled something like that. i just close it. Do I have to wait for confirmation or that page is confirmation that license is removed. Steps 2,3 & 4 installed default key all confirmed successfully. This is puzzling? Any suggestion?
Well thats that then. The remaining question is why would Windows throw that code and not be activated? Dont care what anybody says but somethings terribly wrong here...
Maybe he has a crack that is installed from the past that he might have forgot about or maybe a virus that messed up the activation system on his computer. I know that could happen cause it happened to me once lol. I would reinstall if that still does not activate if I were him though.
Hi Sam, Are you recommending that I re-install my Windows 7? Please confirm. I have an untouched MSDN Windows 7 AIO originall from MSDN untouched Windows 7 professional. I also have an untouched copy of Windows 7 Ultimate OEM. My current Windows 7 is Ultimate from AIO DVD.
Yes, reinstall windows 7 then apply the certificate and product key again once installed. It sounds like something foobared your computers activation system up and making it so it won't activate dude. It could be a common thing among new viruses out there now so um yea. That is what I would do and do not install any cracks at all cause all you need is those 2 commands to install the cert and key and you should be activated at that time. BTW it does not matter how you have it partitioned. I have Dual boot with win7 and XP and when I used the bios mod it worked for me. So don't worry about the partitioning stuff. You can use the g-parted live CD. That will really clean it all out dude lol
Hi Sam, Good to hear from you. Partition clear with g-parted Live CD and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 is installing as we speak. AFter installation, I will perform insert certificate command and corresponding Asus SLP key 6(E) & 6(F). If 6(E) & 6(F) are successful, do I need to re-start to have windows activated or it is activated automatically? Talk to you later. Hopefully good news.
Hi Sam, I have no good news to share with you. After reinstalling Windows, I immediately run cmd as administrator. Insert key slmgr -ilc C:\Asus.xrm-ms, the same error message showed up saying that windows is already activated. When I went into Windows system, it said 30 days to activate. This is very frustrating. I also performed deactivation of windows Slmgr -rilc, slmgr -cpky, slmgr -upk and then install default Windows 7 Ultimate key. Every step confirmed successfully. Then try to install certificate and the same error message that I posted in my earlier thread showed up. I am now dumbfounded as to what are my options to activate the darn windows. It seems that SLIC 2.1 insertion is the hardest & riskiest part because of flashing BIOS. I never thought that final 2 steps Certificate insertion & SLP key) are that difficult to me or impossible for me to perform at the moment.
