but then, isnt it a disadvantage... eg. my lapy is HP branded.. when i run your script, it reads "HPQ" value form registry, and selects HP .XRM-MS after that it installs that ASUS .XRM-MS and loader... and so now, instead of recognising my comp as HP, they recognise it as ASUS (registry entry after activation is _ASUS_) is their any solution to rectify this???? also line cscript %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\slmgr.vbs -ilc "%~dp0ASUS.xrm-ms" should be cscript %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\slmgr.vbs -ilc "%~dp0ASUS .xrm-ms"
Alas, it does not work for me, on two different machines, one with an AMI, the other with an Award BIOS. Two different burns... one with UltraISO and the other with PowerISO. After each run, it says I have 30 days to activate.
I will sort it out. Sorry for rushing and releasing a broken kit :O THe situation with your lappy is that it is HP, but probably not SLIC 2.1 so it goes to a loader.
I have been successful in compiling a script (actually a collection of scripts and tools) which works as an excellent auto-activating tool. The original authors of these scripts are Hazar, Daz and nononsence... if someone wants it, i can upload it here in this thread , if hazar gives me the permission..
Would it work the same if I put ($OEM$) into the sources folder of my Vista(with SP2) DVD using POWERISO ?
To Hazar Hazar, thx a lot man for this I have a question, if i make an all in one dvd (contains home premium, pro and ultimate) in both x86 and x64, will ur kit activate any of them when chosen during the setup? cuz what i know it should activate any edition, but in the final stage of the setup just before loading the desktop, setup will ask for a serial number (which can be ignored cuz it's already activated), i mean in order to activate and remove the serial number request, one edition should be there in the dvd (i.e. ultimate x86 and x64, or pro x86 and x64) Thanx
Yes, You can have all 3 editions on the disc, and it will preactivate the one you choose what you type in the serial box does not matter because it is changed by the kit at the end
