I create software and one app required running when the USB it was on was inserted. Then Microsoft for obvious reasons altered the Autorun.inf system. So I created the next best thing but, as it is not part of the operating system it has to be run at start up or run before a removable device is inserted. Pretty simple it takes a snapshot of the installed drives and detects the drive letter assigned to the new inserted drive.It is only a matter of using a command file to dictate the action. I use Portable apps on one drive and am a member of their forum. I tried giving it away but got abused for advertising a link. so I sell it now, only cheap. I will not give a link that would be crass but would like to discuss improvements so if anyone wants to discuss it there may be a message system here. I have gave up that kind of help, I get great satisfaction getting computers to do what I want. It is a retired guy's hobby, one gained in programming for work.
