Hello I dunno if it's the right section, however here is the problem I'm facing on video files (avi). After transferring some of them from a drive in NTFS to an external USB Key formatted in ExFAT, all the details in properties for each videos have suddenly disappeared, meaning it is impossible to read them. When I launch VLC , the app runs a bit without any error and stops. Size of the avi files is the same as original. How is it possible and how to repair them without any details concerning frame, bitrate....

Thanks for any informations. Nice day.

Have you tried running the files through Handbrake or AVIdemux? You might be able to fix them, convert the files to MKV/MP4.

I would create copies of the files and play with the copies, sometimes all you have to do is rename the files with the original file extension.

You may use 7zip and compress that AVI Files before moving out of NTFS Partition.
