    They should be the same size..:eek:

    EDIT: Look the same size here too....


    If the drives are spinning, can you boot and flash the backup???

    Hi willko2008, I'm sorry that you had a bad flash. If it stopped at 35% while flashing then it definitely won't boot right. You'll probably have to order a new bios chip for it or RMA it. The bioses look the same size to me-- both 262,144 bytes.

    Sorry, I'm being an idiot - I was looking at the "packed" size of the two files in WinRAR! - Of course once extracted, the files are the same size. DOH!:eek:

    getting to the mobos in these little shuttle boxes is a pain - BIOS chip looks soldered on...

    Thanks for the kind words - seriously. I think you're probabably right re: bad flash. I've done quite a few and this one was defo a dud. It was an old box anyway and if you gotta have a failure now and then , this was the one to go. Maybe I'll make a SAN out of it, nifty sized case ;) Thanks again for the effort and sorry I can't verify the BIOS.
