The link works ok for me, but here's an alternate link: Edit: link deleted. chun5407 said the flash utility gave a checksum error. mod has been updated.
Thanks 911Medic once again for your gracious help....I went ahead and used the Asus Slic and Method SSV3....this is for my sister's computer....I did my brothers a few days ago, mine was also done a few days ago and now my sister and tomorrow will be my mom and dad's....lol..... I meant to ask you this but forgot: My sister lives in NM and I am going to talk to her by teleconference over the internet and lead her through flashing her bios. Asus gave the flashing utility to be used and it is AFUDOS....Now, I went through their online instructions and it never said one thing about using switches. Should I use the following switch? afudos /ilin64_slic.rom /i (I shortened and renamed the bios name to LIN64_SLIC.ROM) from L1N64-SLI-ASUS-WS-0505.ROM.
As a general rule, i just try to keep the SLIC/SLP as close to the manufacturer as possible...Some you cannot, but OEMs use a lot of different boards sometimes..Dell is usually proprietary, the rest is open to your interpretation. Good luck, and have fun....
So, should I use the switch /i when I have her flash her bios using AFUDOS? Like this: afudos /ilin64_slic.rom /i.
AFUDOS /Ibiosname.rom No switches after.. The bios name cannot be more than 8 letters. Just use the file name as downloaded...
