Thanks p4spooky for clearing that up about SLICS.....I was beginning to wonder if I was wrong....lol...
Thanks, and sorry for my mistake. So how can we add 2.1 SLIC to a BIOS which already has 2.0 SLIC already? Remove the old 2.0 and insert a new 2.1 one? Nah, sorry for my mistake
No, you take the original bios from the manufacturer and modify with a SLIC 2.1 and then you flash the bios and it will overwrite the previous bios.
As I said, the new bios overwrites the previous bios and so it does not matter if it has a SLIC in it.....think about it - even if there was no such thing as a modified bios, what happens to your bios when you update it with a new bios from your motherboard's website? Does it leave the previous SLIC in tak. No, it overwrites it and so does the modified bios....so let it have SLIC 1.0 or Slic 2.0 or Slic 2.5 (if this existed) or even SLIC 2.1, it will be overwritten by the new updated bios.
Only one slic can occupy at a time and the old slick becomes secondary and cannot be used when a newer and updated slic is inserted.
