    Hi there,

Its SBS 2008 (the 2008 ver. of Small Business Server)

this is a key and there is a dell licence for SBS 2008 (licence floating around the site under the server forums)

So I’m assuming the Dell cert in the BIOS rar cant be used with this key.

Can I just replace the cert with the SBS one i have... or is there some deeper integration?

    Thanks

The DELL Certificate that I provided is the one that you need....did you follow my instructions of how to install the license: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\dell.xrm-ms - this is the correct way to install the dell certificate/license.

And I found out the Product Key that you have for Small Business Server 2008 is an Official OEM SLP Product Key and will work with the DELL certificate that I provided to you.

Yes, all you have to do is flash your bios but I am worried that you put the cart before the horse as we say in Texas....You should not have installed the License/certificate and the Product key without having flashed the bios but we will see if it works since you already installed the certificate and OEM SLP Product Key BEFORE flashing the bios.

You most likely will have to reinstall the Dell Certificate and OEM SLP Product Key after flashing the Bios...but we will see.

I sent you a Private Message of how to create a Bootable USB Flash Drive in order to Flash the Bios in DOS.

Attached below is text file of how to create a Bootable USB Flash Drive to flash your bios in DOS.

Ok great... Yeah i got the PM and i have created the boot disc (flash drive)

Its all ready to go... just have to wait till i get home to do it. its almost 2 PM here so may be a while before i can post and let you all know.

And really thanks for all the help...

one last question... and its a stupid one ;)

so i boot (Depending on boot flash support on the MB... all that stuff is cool) and from the prompt run the EXE... thats it... nothing to watch out for... nothing else to do... (besides do what it tells me i mean lol)
