The origional post had the SLP1 allready in it. The one you did you got from MSI. You did a Great job with 2.1. Thank you. sorry I didnt tell you.
Thanks for the solution. Do you know if there's a way to extract and view the images? I want to remove the Pentuim logo but I don't know which of the 3 it is. (I know this isn't the right thread for this sorry)
CBROM. It can be a bit confusing, are you familiar with this tool. It would appear to be LOGO module..It is a straight up 600x480 bitmap. I would suggest changing it and not removing it.. See below..
Yes, I have succesfully added images to the BIOS. I'm a little confused on how to extract and read the images though... I have 2 things appear at boot, that same fullscreen splash and a pentium logo in the bottom right corner of it. They are seperate as it still appears with the other splash. I want to remove that if possible.
command prompt: cbrom GC-0313.BIN /LOGO extract Will be extracted to the working directory Change as you want. Keep colors (I believe 256) palette as extracted for safety. I think it is not important for this one.. you can remove the file after extracted by: CBROM GC-0313.BIN /LOGO release to reinsert: CBROM GC-0313.BIN /LOGO INTEL.BMP I think the names mean little, but I keep them the same to minimize confusion..The module names must be the same.. The ODB_BMP modules are probably what you are after. Maybe black these out with FFh bytes in winhex??
Thanks for the rapid response. I have extracted the osb_bmp files, but they refuse to open in windows or photoshop. With a little logic I have figured out that 64N4IMB.bmp must be "Intel MotherBoard" logo and 64N4IPP.bmp must be "Intel Pentuim Processor" logo. Thanks for the help!
The format is unknown to me.. Seems to be AWDBMD..maybe using one of the AWDBMP tools..MAYBE. I think it you simpy zero the files out and reinsert them, it will be ok. The only problem may be the Meminit module. Only one should not be a problem, but these are known to be sensitive to offset change. We call them sensible modules for this feature..If you ever hear of this verbage in convo here.. Usually, being very general, one Sensible module, no problem two sensible modules, be careful moving them three or more and they MUST be kept at their offsets. For FYI..
