i notice the folder containing Windows 7 OEM SLP Product Keys X86 and X64, do i need to do anything with this, or pointless atm?
Yeah i know what you mean, but u didn´t get my point. I was talking about, that my XP has some pre-Installed / Integrated crack/activation, i do not have original OEM or Normal version of Windows XP system. So because of it, i was worried, if those tools will work fine, coz i didn´t put in any Crack, it probably does someone, from who came that Windows what i´ve downloaded. So im tellin that im goin to format my HDD, make a fresh instalation of Vista 64 bit, and then use Asus SLIC 2.0 modified BIOS from you, on my board and hopping it´ll work fine, and then i´ll give my feedback, hopefuly positive.
many thanks, one more question, can i flash the bios using the gigabyte bios utility i already have installed (runs in windows) or do i have to do it in dos with usb etc..?
A word of warning.....ALWAYS use the Bios Utility that comes with the bios....for most of the utilities to upgrade bios were designed to fit that particular bios... All Gigabyte Bios use FLASHSPI and I strongly advise you to use it and DO NOT FLASH a gigabyte bios in WINDOWS> Make a bootable USB Flash Drive and flash it in DOS>
If your installation of XP came with some pre-defined crack, I have no clue if VOATK will uninstall it or not.... All I am saying is if you want to activate Windows Vista as an OEM, I strongly suggest that you use VOATK to uninstall ANY and ALL loaders, cracks, patches, bios emulators, frankenbuilds, etc....and if it uninstalls your pre-defined crack in XP, then so be it.... I don't know what else to tell you.
Yep..use a clean Vista and not a Pre-activated one. You can also use a retail or oem XP of the spirit moves ya and activate that with a bios mod..There are no cracks in the bios..only goodness.
Zort, that was my fault and I corrected the problem - he can download it from the post that I made above this one.
Hi Medic, just checking in to see if you have any luck on the Acer 5535 I requested yesterday. Also, is it true that Windows 7 may have to be reinstalled following a mod bios flash?
