    no eror simply blue screen, closes vista and reboots without flashing bios. Is it something I am doing wrong, perhaps you can check the mod and let me know.

    My system comes with Vista Basic and I would like to use Vista Ultimate on it via BIOS method as I have been using Paradox method. Would Ultimate activates with existing BIOS?

    Try to boot with pressed tab key.

    You can try a Ami bios recovery. take the next steps:

    1. Rename the desired original BIOS file to AMIBOOT.ROM and save it on a blank floppy disk. e.g. Rename 12345678.ROM to AMIBOOT.ROM

    2. Insert this floppy disk in the floppy drive. Turn On the system

    3. If no floppy access occurs press and hold Ctrl-Home to force update. Follow insructions on the screen and it will read the AMIBOOT.ROM file and recover the BIOS from the A drive.

    4. When 4 beeps are heard you may remove the floppy disk.

    5. Restart the computer

    all that does is display post screen which still freezes.
