proceeded as given, confirmation for regsvr32 vbscript.dll appeared. Unfortunately, the slmgr.vbs stll gives me the error "class doesn´t support automation" still quite clueless....
...all three confirmed successfully, but still same error executing slmgr.vbs as administrator... turned off UAC as a precaution, no success...
the link to the xp scripthost installator worked, it says though, that "there is not enough storage to process the command"...i am looking for something similar for Vista...
ultimate 32 bit, runs perfrctly with paradox for a year now, all updates on except the paradox-killer one from two weeks ago...
yeah, i thought the paradox won´t collide with the scripting host. Vista still has version 5.7, might have to find a way to pull the plug on that one and reinstall (the host). Unfortunately it seems to be "welded" into the system quite deeply..
Sorry I can't be more help. Let me know if you find a solution. If worse comes to worse a fresh install may work, you might try one in a virtual machine or a separate partition. Good luck. I deleted my previous posts because they didn't work for you and to reduce thread clutter.
Don't worry, my friend, I know you worked at your best. I posted previous messages only to avoid other users to flash the wrong bios. Again many thanks
thanks a lot for your assistance anyways. i will inform you when i found the clue. Kepp up the goos work!
I managed to recover original (not-modded) 601 bios using the procedure described in step 3: that procedure did not work after flashing the first mod of your last post. I'll keep you informed about RMA procedure (I hope Asus support will accept it)
