    You can use HWdirect to dump it from the memmory to the hard drive.

    You can take a look with Everest at the SLIC entry.
    The oem id & oem table id must be _ASUS_ & Notebook.

    and this means that whichever version of vista i install it will activate? dont i have to use a certain key for the Asus OEM installation?

    Yes a slp2.0 key is needed and the asus certificate then you're good to go.
    Keys are floating on the internet, google can be of some help.;)
