I dont think that we will lose something, except some litle time while making the memory dump and trying to do a mod. And we will also gain some more knoledge. There are tools that can decompress dell phoenix bioses, like delldeco.exe and phoedeco.exe.
from petar: @tripex, your bios needs to be modded manualy, but at the moment i have litle glitch and cant finish the mod. I've asked some questios on some other threads to the more expirienced modders, so I will be able to finish it succesifuly. -- @petar ok, i will wait a little...hope u can fix it ... (please don't forget me....^^) tripex
I just wanted to say that I tested out the mod that Fzeven created for Chevelle in 2007 for the HP-Compaq NX9600. It works flawless. Sadly I don't have a HP oem disk, only a Dell one. I just replaced the dell.xrm-ms with your compaq one and presto - instant activation when re-installed. It also activated when i used your file to register the pre-existing installation, but i wanted to verify that it was working without the vista-loader. Awsome job man. I have annother computer with the following specs: Abit IS7-V2 Motherboard Phoenix-Award Bios v6.00PG I'm wondering if anything can be done with this. Preferable SLIC would be DELL since thats the only disc i have right now. If its not too much to ask, I haven't been able to locate the latest bios either, if you feel like going easter egg hunting! Cheers, Dylan
