No worries! Anyway Gigabytes implementation of the dual bios feature is poor, and quite useless in some ways. There is no manual way to switch to the backup bios (using a jumper for example). This is an example where the bios got corupted and does not boot properly, yet there was no switchover to the backup bios and the result is a dead board. (EP45-DS5). Please remove the moded files thx.
Link is removed. I've PM'ed about this mod with Fzeven. He suggested to move up the Acpitable to its original position and remod a OEM7. To try a ISA2 and ISA3 before is useful as well. But I don't know if you want to try it again when you've got a replacement board. Just wanted to say with this that there is a method to try if somebody is still interested. Bricked boards make us to update the methods.....This information is probably useful for the other modders as well. Have a nice day. And thanks for your understanding.
I think I will have a hard time getting a replacement if I brick it once again... hopefully someone else will be willing to test it. Cheers
I'm having problems geting your *ats file, couse it is hosted on rapidshare and I'm behind proxy. Can you please upload it somewhere else, like box.net. ouse this way I'm not certain what is the cousing the problem with the activation. I can see that the SLIC is present, I double checked the mod and there are no errors. You dont need to reflash the bios to activate.
You dont need to restore your original unmodded bios. You can flash directly with this one and use the backup file as dumy file. Take note that flashing under windows is risky couse a lot of things can inerfere with the flashing process. Flash the same way as you did the last time from widnows, turn off all unnecesary programs.
