Cant extract the bios from the packadge. You may want to try extracting it from the RAM like this: Install and open hwdirect, go to memory dump. Enter fff00000 without "h" and size 100000 without "h", press dump. Right click into window, select all, right click again, copy. Paste as new file into winhex. (Open winhex and press Shift + insert key) Make sure ASCII-hex is selected. Save file and upload, please! If WinHex doesn't works for you, try using HexWorkshop.
When you run the dell bioses updater they extract files to a folder in USER\Appdata\temp\ in mines there was 4 files WinFlash.exe, FoxAwdWINFLASH64.sys, FoxAwdWINFLASH.sys, and 713D1P46.BIN P.S. just run the updater dont update then go to temp folder and grab the files because when you exit the program it removes the files from temp. I have different bios but hopefully dell have done them all the same way.
Tryed to extract it that way already, but it didnt worked. I'm geting an "unexpected error" and been asked to restart and try again. Maybe the problem is couse my computer has a diferent flash part.
DELL bios are proprietary bios, so you can't open it without proprietary dell's tools. You have a VOSTRO 1500 Dell, so SLP1 is already in your BIOS, all dell computer have SLP1 dell in bios. After search on dell site, vostro dell 1500 have VISTA preinstall, so you have already SLP2 and SLP1 dell in your bios.
