Is it normal to get "CMOS Checksum error" at the first boot after a flash when using the clear cmos option when flashing? The flash util in question is the flash895.exe provided by gigabyte for flashing their mobos. Should I include the clear cmos option when flashing with a bios found here?
It makes sense to use the cc switch, some mobo's won't boot after a modded biosflash. If that happens you have to open you're case and clear it manually.
Thanx. A friend of mine flashed his bios last night with a modded bios and he used the gigabyte provided flasher with the option to clear cmos and at first boot he got the cmos checksum error, next boot all ok - enter bios and load defaults. All OK. Just wanted to know if I should expect such an error too after flashing since him and me both have GA boards
