Good question, as I have been taking apart many of these mods just to see how it was done and this one is unusal from what I have seen. Cbrom show an OEM7 component where the acpi usually is and acpi is at the bottom? Hex dumped eom.bin and there was your slic!!! I'd be interested in the process too but more so why. Release all components up and including acpi place oem.bin then replace all components swapping the two???

Coould you post here or elsewhere... just trying to learn :)

It is a qiuck oem7 method developed by @yen, look at the "Mod your own..." thread, for more info.
I cant remeber what page the info was...:(

Edit, The method is in fact a manual mod for GB bioses, but shortend.

The modules weren't released and put back at reversed order to replace the ACPI table.
The bios file was hex edited to insert the oem7 module.
Try releasing it, cbrom will give you an error.

    Petar,

I think this is what you were referring to?

Am I right? If so, where can I get cbrom32_115 and the iasus1.bin by tommoy.

    Thanks!

    Hey Fzeven,

I successfully flashed my bios today using Yen's version of awdflash.exe. Using his switches, i flashed your dell mod. Unfortunately i still get the checksum error, which seems to mean that the flash software isnt the issue here.

    Any ideas?
