    But I may just go back to xp pro for this person's OS.

    I got one of those keys that will always update...

    I got 2 more motherboards to find modded bios's for.

    Once again, thanks for the help I'll most definitely be posting for more help.

    Yeah. Coolers are spin up then system down. I found a floppy drive between the junks , now i will try, maybe bootblock is usable.

    mod: manual eeprom reflash needed, bootblock cant working.

    Tried DELL not working :(. But HP works perfectly :). Now only if I can find a way to activate WHS I'll buy a second K45...

    Vista Activated BIOS for HP 530.

    Hello! Could anyone on this forum help me with a modded BIOS for HP 530 so that Vista Ultimate can be considered as pre-activated. My HP 530 Notebook came with free DOS edition.

    Secondly, how to check which BIOS my HP 530 Notebook has?

    When I check for this information through msinfo32, I see as: " Hewlett-Packard 68MVU Ver. F.07, 3/18/2008 ".

    Even during bootup, it does not show any information about the BIOS.
